ArcGIS Survey123: 3 Host survey123.arcgis.com not found

Error Message

Attempts to open or publish a survey in ArcGIS Survey123 Connect fail with the following error message returned:

Status code: 0
Error: 3 Host survey123.arcgis.com not found

In ArcGIS Survey123 Field App, the following error message is returned:

Error:
Error connecting to ArcGIS Online
Error code: 3
Host not found

Cause

• Survey123 Connect and the Survey123 Field App could not send requests to the ArcGIS Online or ArcGIS Enterprise organization. This can occur due to connectivity issues, or if a VPN is not connected in environments where one is required.
• An outdated version of Survey123 Connect and Survey123 Field App is being used.
• ArcGIS Online sites are not listed in the organization's allow list.

Solution or Workaround

Ensure a stable internet connection or be in the right environment

Consult the organization's IT department to ensure the machine or device is connected to a stable internet connection and is connected to a VPN if required.
