  1. [cartography] A map used for navigational purposes, especially by ship or plane.
  2. [mathematics] A graphic representation of tabular data; a diagram showing the relationship between two or more variable quantities, usually measured along two perpendicular axes. A chart may also be referred to as a graph.
  3. [ESRI software] In ArcView 3, one of the five types of documents that can be contained within a project file. A chart visually presents the attribute data contained in a table.
