PROBLEM
The ArcGIS Network Analyst extension allows users to perform analyses on network datasets, for example, finding shortest paths and drive-time polygons, identifying closest facilities, choosing best location, and finding the best routes for a fleet of vehicles. In some instances, the Network Analysis button is not available in ArcGIS Pro, preventing access to the Network Analyst toolbar.
Use one of the methods below to resolve the issue.
Add maps to the ArcGIS Pro project
In ArcGIS Pro, add at least one map to the project to enable the Network Analysis button. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Add maps and scenes to a project for instructions.
Activate the map frame in the layout view
In ArcGIS Pro, activate the map frame in the layout view by referring to the instructions in ArcGIS Pro: Work with a map on a layout.
Assign the Network Analyst license to the members
Administrators or organization members with privileges to manage licenses must assign the Network Analyst license to the members in ArcGIS Online. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Licensing and the ArcGIS Network Analyst extension for more information.
Note: If the extension license is not included in the organization’s subscription, contact Esri Customer Service to purchase the license.
Enable the Network Analysis option under Premium Content in ArcGIS Online
Allocate appropriate credits or change the network data source with credits
Contact Esri Technical Support or the organization account's Customer Service Representative (CSR) to allocate credits to the organization.
Alternatively, refer to steps 4 to 6 in ArcGIS Pro: Create a network analysis layer to change to the desired network data source with credits.
