Problem: Insights items created on early versions of Insights cannot be shared through distributed collaboration
Description
Insights items, such as Workbooks, Pages, Models, and Themes that were created using Insights 3.1 or earlier, and ArcGIS Enterprise 10.6.1 or earlier, cannot be shared through distributed collaboration after upgrading to Insights 3.2.1 and ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7. Only items that were created or updated using Insights 3.2.1 can be shared in a collaboration.
Cause
Insights items created in Insights 3.1 or earlier are not compatible with ArcGIS Enterprise 10.7 collaborations.
Solution or Workaround
The following workarounds can be used to share Insights items through collaboration:
- Download and install the Portal for ArcGIS 10.7 Pop-up Selected Feature Display Patch.
- Workbooks can be opened and re-saved after upgrading the Insights and Enterprise versions.
- An Insights Page can be updated by re-sharing the page from the original workbook.
- New models and themes can be created by opening the items in a workbook and sharing them as new items.
