Configure the positions of gallery card items in ArcGIS Hub

Summary

In ArcGIS Hub, the gallery card can be used to display a mix of different items on the site, including datasets, additional sites and pages, or apps such as story maps, web maps, dashboards, and surveys. It displays up to 16 items using the item's thumbnail and summary, and each item can be opened by clicking the card.

A maximum of four items can be displayed in each row of the gallery card. If the subsequent row has less than four items, these items are stretched to fit the entire row and displayed larger than the items in the row above, as shown in the gallery card below.

This article provides the workflow to configure the positions of the gallery card items in Hub, which is useful in customizing the site and creating an even layout.

Procedure

1. Open the Hub site in edit mode.
2. On the side panel, click Layout and drag a Spacer card onto the left side of the gallery card.

3. Hover over the right edge of the spacer and click the icon to decrease the size of the spacer until the required number of gallery card items are displayed in the rows. In this example, the spacer is resized until only three gallery card items are displayed in each row.

4. Optionally, add and resize another Spacer card on the other end of the gallery card to adjust its alignment.

The gallery card below displays six evenly positioned items on the Hub site with three items in each row.
