  1. [network analysis] A path through a network that visits each stop in the network only once and then returns to its point of origin. The path is determined based on a user-specified set of criteria (such as shortest distance or fastest time).
  2. [ESRI software] In ArcInfo Workstation, a network solver that determines the minimum-cost path to reach a series of stops, and also determines the order in which the stops are visited.
