Spatial dataset or imagery files that are processed, compressed, and stored, or "cached" into a defined tiling scheme that enables efficient access. Multiple tiles are combined to create a map. How each tile cache fits into the map, along with its metadata and spatial reference, is defined in a tiling scheme.
