[symbology] A digital representation of the surface of a feature.
[attribute data, image processing] In imagery, a series of metrics resulting from image processing techniques used to characterize and identify an area of interest. It defines a pattern based on variability and other statistical measures across an object or feature. These are used in traditional pattern recognition techniques or machine learning algorithms, including convolutional neural networks (CNN).
