king's case

  1. [spatial analysis] In spatial analysis, a case in which contiguity is defined by the four adjacent quadrats sharing a row or column edge with the center quadrat as well as diagonal neighbors, expanding the neighborhood to eight quadrats. Also sometimes called queen's case.
