In image processing, calculations from the pixel values of each band in an image—often based on the image's histogram—including, but not limited to, the minimum, maximum, mean, and standard deviation of pixel values. Image statistics are required for specific rendering and geoprocessing operations, such as multivariate spatial analysis.
