cokriging

URL copied Share URL
  1. [spatial statistics (use for geostatistics)] A form of kriging in which the distribution of a second, highly correlated variable (covariate) is used along with the primary variable to provide interpolation estimates. Cokriging can improve estimates if the primary variable is difficult, impossible, or expensive to measure, and the second variable is sampled more intensely than the primary variable.
