Frequently asked question

Is it possible to undo cleared Recent Projects in ArcGIS Pro?

Last Published: September 17, 2024

Answer

No, it is not possible to undo the action of clearing recently opened projects from the Recent Projects list in ArcGIS Pro. Once the list is cleared, it cannot be restored directly through the application. The Recent Projects list is designed to track accessed projects temporarily, and clearing it removes all entries permanently in ArcGIS Pro.

As a workaround, projects can be manually reopened from local files by searching for the project file, so the projects are displayed in Recent Projects.

  1. On the Windows taskbar, click the Search icon.
  2. Search for the project (.aprx) or project package (.ppkx) file on the local computer.
  3. Double-click the file in the search results to open the project. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Open a project from the file system for more information.
The project or project package files are searched in the local files
