The minimum and maximum scale value at which a layer or specific symbols are visible on an interactive map. Scale range parameters are used to prevent detailed data—such as buildings or street names—from displaying at small scales (when the map is zoomed out) and generalized information—such as national borders or international labels—from displaying at large scales (when the map is zoomed in).
