  1. [photogrammetry] In imagery, a deviation that arises from light rays appearing to bend more through the edges of a camera lens than they do through its optical center.
  2. [digital image processing] The distance that a pixel deviates from its ideal location in a radial direction, away from the principal point, preventing the preservation of straight lines being projected between the object world and the image being formed.
