polyline feature

URL copied Share URL
  1. [symbology] A digital map feature representing a place or thing that has length but not area at a given scale. A polyline feature may have one or more parts. For example, a stream is typically a polyline feature with one part; however, if it diverges, goes underground and reemerges, or otherwise has disrupted visibility, it might be represented as a multipart polyline feature with branching or discontinuous parts. A multipart polyline feature is associated with a single record in an attribute table.
