Also known by the acronym CBSA. A statistical region in the United States that contains at least one urban area with a population of at least 10,000. A CBSA can be a metropolitan statistical area or a micropolitan statistical area. CBSAs are defined by the U.S. Office of Management and Budget for use by federal statistical agencies, including the U.S. Census Bureau.
