Unable to validate the tile cache data store in ArcGIS Server Manager

Description

In ArcGIS Server Manager, after modifying or upgrading an ArcGIS Data Store machine, attempts to validate the tile cache data store fail, as shown in the image below.

Cause

The tile cache data store is not running when checking the data store information using the describedatastore utility in the Command Prompt of the ArcGIS Data Store machine. The image below shows the data store status in the Command Prompt is Stopped.

Solution or Workaround

To validate the tile cache data store, restart the ArcGIS Data Store machine to run the tile cache data store again. Refer to How To: Start and stop ArcGIS Server machines using the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory for instructions and more information.
