PROBLEM
In ArcGIS Urban, zoning boundaries are used to manage and visualize 3D zoning regulations and land use plans. In some cases, when the zoning feature layer is imported to create an urban model, the validation fails due to features being invalid.
The image below shows the validation results in the 'Import zoning' dialog box.
The zoning boundary label classes do not match the zoning type values. The match is case-sensitive, and any missing or incorrectly populated values cause the validation process to fail.
The image below shows the non-matching zoning boundary label classes and the zoning type values in the ArcGIS Pro Symbology pane.
Note: When the zoning feature layer is symbolized, the zoning boundary label classes in the Symbology pane are auto-populated with the zoning type values.
Note: Alternatively, add the zipped file geodatabase and publish its contents as a hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Online. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Publish the contents of a file geodatabase for more information.
The image below shows the zoning features from the hosted feature layer are valid when used to create an urban model in ArcGIS Urban.
