PROBLEM
The Edit widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder allows users to update and delete feature records on a map by modifying attribute values, editing geometries, and maintaining data accuracy. To prevent unauthorized or accidental deletion of features, it is recommended to configure the widget to support attribute updates only. However, the Delete button remains available in the widget even when the widget is limited to attribute editing and the 'Delete records' option is disabled.
In ArcGIS Experience Builder, publish the web experience and share the app with users without administrative privileges. The permissions to edit or delete content are determined by the user’s assigned role and associated privileges. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Privileges granted to roles for more information.
In ArcGIS Online, remove users from the shared update group to restrict editing access. Alternatively, create a new group without the shared update capability and share the web experience with non-administrator users through the group.
As shown in the image below, the Edit widget does not display the Delete button for users without administrative privileges and are not members of a shared update group.
