Unable to edit features using the Edit widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Description

When using the Edit widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder, features can be moved around but the edits cannot be saved and return the following error message:

Error:
Editing is disabled but you have privileges to edit this layer.

Cause

The Update option of the hosted feature layer is not enabled in the item settings in ArcGIS Online.

Solution or Workaround

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online with the same credentials used in ArcGIS Experience Builder.
2. Click Content > My Content.
3. Browse to and click the hosted feature layer used in the experience to open the item details page.
4. On the item details page, click the Settings tab.
5. Scroll down to the Feature Layer (hosted) section and check the Enable editing checkbox.
6. Under the What kind of editing is allowed? setting, check the Update checkbox and select Attributes and geometry.
7. Click Save.

8. In ArcGIS Experience Builder, refresh the experience by refreshing the web page.
