Summary
In ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud, adding vector-based maps can sometimes fail and return a mapping profile warning. The following steps describe how to correct this.
Procedure
To add a vector-based map to ArcGIS Maps for Adobe Creative Cloud:
- Select any basemap.
- Zoom in to the location of interest.
- Draw a rectangle of this area, and click, hold, and drag the mouse.
- Once the area of interest is selected, a Mapboard Options pop-up window appears. Name and configure the new mapboard as necessary, when finished, click OK.
- The selected area is now highlighted, as shown in the next image, with some control icons along the right margin. Click the preview icon.
- Preview opens the ArcGIS Maps: Compilation tab, similar to the example in the next image.
- In the left pane of the ArcGIS Maps: Compilation tab are the layers and data of the map. In this example, a topographic basemap is the only item listed. Click the three dots next to the basemap and click Select Basemap.
- The Contents pane now shows the vector-based maps available, and other basemaps. Select the one that suits your needs.
- When selecting the basemap, a Mapping profile warning window may appear similar to that shown in the next image, stating that "The Default mapping profile no longer supports <basemap>...". Click the Current Map Settings link in this dialog.
- In the Current Map Settings window select Legacy profile, and click OK.
- The vector-based map can now be added.
