HOW TO

Access the sublayers of a non-hosted ArcGIS Online map image layer

Last Published: August 14, 2020

Summary

In some cases, it is necessary to use a non-hosted ArcGIS Online map image layer for data analysis. However, a map image layer is limited in editing and data analysis capabilities. It is primarily used as a form of visualization. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Share a map image layer for more information.

A map image layer includes both feature and non-feature layers as its sublayers. These sublayers are used to perform different types of data analyses.
