Frequently asked question

Can attachments be maintained when using Batch Project in ArcGIS Pro?

Last Published: September 18, 2024

Answer

No, it is not possible for the Batch Project tool to maintain attachments, unlike the Project tool. The Batch Project tool is designed to handle multiple datasets simultaneously, prioritizing efficiency and speed over maintaining all data attributes. The Project tool, on the other hand, focuses on a single dataset, allowing it to preserve more detailed elements like attachments during the projection process.

As a workaround, run the Project tool in batch mode to maintain attachments in ArcGIS Pro.

  1. In the Geoprocessing pane, search for Project (Data Management Tools).
  2. Configure the Project tool to run in batch mode.
