HOW TO
In ArcGIS Pro 3.0, charts have been optimized to use server-side processing when the data comes from an enterprise database or cloud data warehouse. These optimizations improve performance when running the calculations and aggregations that are used to create a chart. When you create a bar chart, line chart, scatter plot, or histogram using a data source from one of the supported databases, the chart automatically processes the data using a database query. More information can be found at the following documentation page:
Unfortunately, these performance improvements come at the cost of reduced chart interactivity and functionality. The following limitations exist when server-side processing is used:
We anticipate that some users may wish to opt out of the performance improvements to circumvent these limitations. There is not currently any way to disable server-side processing through the user interface, but as a workaround we allow these optimizations to be turned off through the following DWORD registry key:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\ESRI\ArcGISPro\Settings\ForceProChartsClientSide
Setting ForceProChartsClientSide=1 disables the optimizations and charts will be processed on the client side. Setting this registry key may negatively impact performance, but it ensures that chart interactivity and functionality are not compromised.
