Abbreviated as STAC. An open specification standard that provides a common structure for describing and cataloging spatiotemporal assets. The STAC provides standardized specifications for multiple formats of spatial data, including imagery, synthetic aperture radar (SAR), point clouds, data cubes, full-motion video, and so on. The STAC was developed and is managed by global open source contributors.
