Continuous spectral data—captured by a camera or sensor, such as a satellite, aerial, aircraft, drone, submersible, mobile or stationary device, and so on—used in spatial analysis or to represent a surface (such as the surface of the earth). An incomplete list of imagery types includes satellite imagery, digital airborne imagery, thermal imagery, motion imagery, and video. Imagery can consist of a single band (or panchromatic imagery), color imagery (red, green, and blue), multispectral imagery consisting of more than 3 bands, and hyperspectral imagery consisting of tens, hundreds, or thousands of bands.
