A combined abbreviation and acronym for the Southern Positioning Augmentation Network. A regional satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) that improves GNSS positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT) data for Australia and New Zealand. SouthPAN is a joint initiative of the Australian and New Zealand governments and is the first SBAS in the southern hemisphere.
