multiband imagery
URL copiedShare URL
An image that contains multiple bands of data, each representing a different wavelength interval of the electromagnetic spectrum—such as visible, near-infrared, short wave infrared, and thermal. Multiband imagery typically contains more bands than multispectral imagery (~4-15) and fewer bands than hyperspectral imagery (100+).
[data architecture]
A raster dataset that contains a combination of multispectral imagery and derived geospatial data layers, such as digital elevation models, temperature, vegetation fuel loading, slope, and so on. These bands and layer types are all georeferenced and combined into a single raster dataset.
