Abbreviated as BDS. This global geopositioning satellite constellation is used for positioning, navigation, and timing (PNT). It is operated by the Chinese government and is part of the international GNSS constellations spread between several orbital planes.
There is also a satellite-based augmentation system (SBAS) aspect of BDS that monitors and provides correction data to improve GNSS precision over Chinese airspace.
