  1. [GPS] A file transmitted from a satellite to a receiver that contains information about the orbits of all satellites included in the satellite network. Receivers refer to the almanac to determine which satellite to track.
  2. [astronomy, meteorology] An annual publication containing weather forecasts, information on astronomical events, and miscellaneous facts, arranged according to the calendar of a given year.
