Zusammenfassung

ArcGIS Server machines added to an ArcGIS Server site can be started or stopped, and it may be necessary to do so in instances where a hard reset is required when troubleshooting issues with the server. There are multiple ways of starting and stopping the server. These include using Task Manager to stop the ArcGIS Server service in the Services tab, by running a script, or using the ArcGIS Server Administrator.

This article describes the steps to start and stop ArcGIS Server machines using the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory.

Vorgehensweise

Note:
The following procedure may require the assistance of an IT personnel or the user with administrator privilege.

Note:
When a server machine is stopped, it can no longer run GIS services. Ensure there are no process currently in operation by all users available within the organization before proceeding.

Note:
When stopping the server, allow for 25-30 seconds before starting the server again. This ensures that all the processes are properly shutdown before restarting the server.

1. On the server machine, navigate and log in to the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory using the following URL:

<machine>.<domain>.com/<webadaptorname>/admin

2. On the ArcGIS Server Administrator Directory page, under Resources, click machines.

3. On the Registered Machines page, click the ArcGIS Server machine listed under Machines.

4. Under Supported Operations, click start or stop to start or stop the ArcGIS Server machine.
