Printing GeoServer web map tile service (WMTS) layers from a Web Map or a Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS application in Portal for ArcGIS results in geographically shifted or blank images.

Workaround

1. Open Fiddler or a HTTP inspector in the browser and execute the print task again. Examine the WebMapAsJson string. 2. The default ‘type’ is WebTiledLayer. 3. Copy the JSON string into a text viewer and change the ‘type’ to ‘wmts’. Navigate to the print task URL at the ArcGIS Server REST endpoint. 4. Insert the new JSON string and execute the print task using PDF and MAP_ONLY template. 5. Download and open the PDF image from the REST endpoint. The PDF displays the correct location.
