Workaround

The Trimble distributor also found following workaround for the TDC600 that has the most recent Field Maps v22.1.1 but has not advised to try this for most users due to the precision of steps involved.

Patch set-up via mock location precisely following this procedure:

Preparation:

1.       Turn DA2 on. Open Bluetooth connection centre in Android. => Apparaat koppelen (connect device) => select DA2 (with correct S/N ending).

2.       Android settings => Systeem => Geavanceerd (advanced) => Ontwikkelaarsopties (developer options) => App voor neplocaties (app for mock location) => Select Trimble Mobile Manager.

3.       Open Trimble Mobile Manager (TMM). => Application Settings => Share location: ON

4.       Android location: ON

5.       Close all applications

Make sure TMM is configured (log-in to Catalyst; Flepos is configured, etc.)

Connecting to DA2 in FieldMaps

1.       Make sure TMM is closed.

2.       Go outside or make sure that DA2 is able to receive satellites.

3.       Turn on the DA2 antenna.

4.       Open FieldMaps. Antenna = (geïntegreerd) integrated (not DA2)

5.       Open a map. FieldMaps now uses the integrated antenna (low precision).

6.       Open TMM (without closing the map in FieldMaps!)

7.       In TMM, connect to the DA2 and observe increasing precision.

8.       Swap back to Field Maps. The integrated antenna is now replaced by the mock location and precision should be similar to the one displayed in TMM.
