The ArcGIS Field Maps app allows mobile workers to use the app in the field to collect location and fill out forms. In some instances, a web map containing editable layers and enabled for ArcGIS Field Maps mobile use is not editable in the mobile app. When searching for the web map in the app, it only appears when selecting the 'Read-only' options.

Causa

This issue occurs when only the 'Use in ArcGIS Field Maps Mobile' option is enabled, while the 'Use in ArcGIS Collector' option is disabled in the web map settings.

Solución o solución alternativa

To enable web map editing in ArcGIS Field Maps app, enable the Use in ArcGIS Collector and Use in ArcGIS Field Maps Mobile options.

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online with an organizational account.
2. Click Content, and click the My Content tab.
3. Navigate to and click the web map. The item details page of the web map is opened.
4. Click the Settings tab, and scroll down to the Web Map section.
5. Under Application Settings, check the Use in ArcGIS Collector and Use in ArcGIS Field Maps Mobile check boxes.

6. Click Save.
7. Open the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app, click the Search icon. Select the Editing option, and search for the web map. The web map is listed under the editable web maps list.
