Important Notes:
Before applying this service pack, make sure you have:

  • ArcGIS Server for the Microsoft .NET Framework 10.0 Service Pack 3

If you have Business Analyst 10.0 (Desktop) installed on the same computer as Business Analyst Server 10.0 then make sure you have:

Esri Business Analyst 10.0 (Desktop) Service Pack 2

If you plan to use the Upload/Download Utility from Business Analyst Desktop, first install the Business Analyst Server 10.0 Service Pack 3 patch, and then install the Business Analyst Desktop 10 Service Pack 2 Upload/Download Utility Patch for Business Analyst Server 10 Service Pack 3

Esri Business Analyst 10 (Desktop) Service Pack 2 Upload/Doanload Patch for use with Business Analyst Server 10 Service Pack 3 To install the Downloaded Service Pack:
ArcGIS Server 10.0, with Service Pack 3, must be installed before you can install this service pack. It is strongly recommended to back up your system before upgrading. After the service pack is applied, you may need to reset any customizations in the BAServerConfig.xml file. Install this service pack using an administrative account. To install the BASDatasp3.msp, use the same administrative user account that was used to perform Business Analyst Server Data - 2010 Setup. To find out what ArcGIS products are currently installed on your machine, download the PatchFinder utility and run it from your local machine. This utility provides a report detailing the ArcGIS products currently installed and the service packs that have been installed. The report is displayed when the utility is run and a servicepack.txt log file will be created in your temporary folder.

Important Note on Esri Business Analyst Server Post Installs:
If the Business Analyst Server Post Install does not launch automatically after the service pack has been applied, you will need to launch the Business Analyst Server Post Install and Business Analyst Server Web Applications Post Install manually from the shortcuts in your Start menu. The Business Analyst Server Post Install needs to be run for every Business Analyst Map Service you want to apply the Service Pack to. The Post Installs may prompt a restart of your computer. You can restart after the post installation process is complete. You need to run the Business Analyst Server Web Applications Post Install after the Business Analyst Server Post Install. The Business Analyst Server Web Applications Post Install will prompt you for the ArcGIS Server agsadmin user account and password (typically ArcGISWebServices). To avoid disrupting the installation, use the same user account and password used when you initially installed Business Analyst Server 10.0 or the last time you ran the Business Analyst Server Web Applications Post Install.
