Frequently asked question

What should ArcGIS Earth 1.10.1 users do if they can’t open a PKI authentication KML service?

Last Published: April 29, 2020

When opening a PKI authentication KML service for the first time, ArcGIS Earth may prompt a built-in black log-in window for users to input usernames and passwords. However, it should display the PKI certification window. This is known limitation, and is being worked on.

There are two workarounds:

  •  The first workaround is to close the log-in window, and refresh the KMZ file in Table of Contents. The correct PKI certification window then displays.
  • The second workaround is to sign in to the Portal that is hosting the service first, and then add the KML service again.
