Unable to edit calculated fields in the Edit widget in ArcGIS Experience Builder

Description

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, attempts to modify the calculated fields of an Edit widget are unsuccessful as the field box is not clickable. The Edit widget below shows the non-editable calculated field.

Cause

This is a known limitation. When a field is configured with a calculated expression in Forms on the Settings toolbar in Map Viewer, it becomes read-only and cannot be edited in the Edit widget. This restriction applies only to the Edit widget and not to other widgets.

Solution or Workaround

Use the Table widget to edit the calculated field.

1. Open the web experience in ArcGIS Experience Builder.
2. Click Insert to open the Insert widget panel.
3. On the Insert widget panel, scroll down to Data centric, and drag and drop the Table widget onto the canvas.

4. On the Table panel, on the Content tab, under Source, ensure Interact with a Map widget is selected.

5. In the Table widget, double-click the field to edit.

6. Click Save > Publish.
