Unable to delete records of selected features in the Table widget for ArcGIS Experience Builder

Description

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, the option to delete records of selected features from a Table widget is unavailable.

The image below shows a published experience with a Table widget, where a selected feature is chosen, but the option to delete records is unavailable.

Cause

This is expected behavior. When a Table widget's data is configured to ‘Selected features’ in the ‘Sheet configuration’ panel, an action in the Map widget is required prior to querying the table in ArcGIS Experience Builder. Hence, the option to delete records is unavailable.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve this issue, add an Edit widget to the experience to display the option to delete records of the selected feature.

1. Open the web experience in ArcGIS Experience Builder.
2. Click Insert to open the Insert panel.
3. Add the Edit widget and select the preferred feature layer as the widget's data source.
   1. In the Insert widget panel, on the New tab, under Data centric, drag the Edit widget onto the canvas.

2. On the Content tab, click New editable layer.

3. In the Layer configuration panel, under Data, click Select data.

4. In the Select data panel, select the preferred data. In this example, Points_Italy is selected.

5. In the Layer configuration panel, under Capability, ensure Delete records is enabled.

4. Save, preview, and publish the web app.
5. Open the published web app and click the preferred feature to delete on the Map widget.
6. In the Edit widget, click Delete to delete the selected feature.
