Unable to authorize ArcGIS Server using a provisioning file

Description

In some instances, attempting to authorize ArcGIS Server using the EducationSiteArcGISServerEnterprise_ArcGISServer.prvc license file fails, returning the following warning message:

Warning:
Invalid provisioning file! Please check file input fields and try again.

Cause

ArcGIS Server is not specified for the ECP authorization number in the provisioning file.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve the issue, update the provisioning file by specifying ArcGIS Server for the ECP authorization number. Complete the steps below to do so:

1. Open the EducationSiteArcGISServerEnterprise_ArcGISServer.prvc license file with a text editor.
2. Type ArcGIS Server before the '=ECPXXXXX' component as shown in the image below.

3. Authorize ArcGIS Server using the updated provisioning file.
