The thousand separator is displayed in a dynamic numeric field value in the ArcGIS Experience Builder Text widget

Description

In ArcGIS Experience Builder, when a dynamic numeric field value is added to the Text widget, it displays with the thousand separator (comma). The use of a thousand separator is not always suitable for dynamic numeric field values, especially when adhering to standard date formats, such as when displaying year values, as shown in the image below.

Cause

The 'Show thousand separator' check box is enabled. Thus, the dynamic numeric field value in the Text widget displays the thousand separator (comma). In ArcGIS Experience Builder, the Text widget displays dynamic numeric field values with a thousand separator to improve readability, particularly for large numeric values.

Solution or Workaround

1. Open the ArcGIS Experience Builder web experience.
2. In the Text widget on the canvas, click the Dynamic content button.
3. In the Dynamic content panel, on the Expression tab, click Fields.
4. In the Data section, select the desired numeric field. In this example, the numeric field 'yearcreate' is selected.

5. Click the Number formatting button and toggle Number formatting on.
6. Uncheck the Show thousand separator check box.

7. Click Insert to populate the expression in the Text widget.
