The Search widget does not return results from the hosted feature layer in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder

Description

The Search widget enables users to find locations and search features on the map using geocoding services or feature layers within the map. In some instances, when searching for an address using the search function, no results are returned if the search source is from a hosted feature layer.

The following image shows an example where no results are returned when searching for an address using the search function.

Cause

The issue occurs when the name of the original feature layer used has been changed, thus the service URL of the layer cannot be found.

Solution or Workaround

Follow the steps below to reconfigure the search source in the Configure Search window. Remove the original hosted feature layer from the search source, and re-add the new hosted feature layer.

1. In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, click the Widget tab.
2. Click the Configure this widget icon on the Search widget.

3. In the Configure Search window, under Search source settings, click the Delete icon on the original hosted feature layer.

4. Click Add search source to add the new hosted feature layer. Click OK.
5. On the Widget tab, click Save to save the changes.
