The search box is unavailable in the Screening widget in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder

Description

The Screening widget allows users to define an area of interest using the Place Name tool, as it provides the ‘Search for a location’ search box to search for a location on the map. In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, when attempting to use the ‘Search for a location’ search box in the Screening widget, the search box is not available, as shown in the image below.

Cause

The Place Name tool in Area of Interest Tools is not enabled in the Screening widget configuration.

Solution or Workaround

In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, check the Place Name tool check box in the Screening widget configuration to enable the tool and display the Search for a location search box.

1. Log in to ArcGIS Online. Click Content > My Content.
2. Browse to the ArcGIS Web AppBuilder web app, click More Options , and select Edit Application.
3. In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, on the Widget tab, browse to and hover over the Screening widget, and click Configure this widget .

4. In the Configure Screening window, on the Analysis tab, browse to Area of Interest Tools, and check the Place Name check box.
5. Click OK.

6. Click Save to save the configurations.
