PROBLEM
In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, the Near Me widget enables users to find features within a buffer of a defined address or location. When defining an address or location, the 'Search result' or 'Searched Location' pop-up window is displayed on the map.
Sometimes, the search result pop-up is not displayed for the found feature or location when defining a feature or location using the Near Me widget.
There are instances where users attempt to use the ‘Set location’ button in the Near Me widget to set a location on the map, but clicking the map fails, and a return message is displayed, 'Popups are not configured, results cannot be displayed.'
In a situation where the ‘Set location’ dialog box displays next to the cursor when hovering over the map, clicking the map only displays the Searched Location pop-up window. Users are unable to display the feature attribute pop-up window by clicking a feature on the map when the Near Me widget is active.
The following are known causes for the issue:
Depending on the cause, use one of the options below to resolve the issue.
Check the Show pop-up for the found feature or location check box
In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, check the Show pop-up for the found feature or location check box in the Near Me widget settings to display the search result pop-up.
The image below shows the Search result pop-up window is displayed when searching for a location in the Near Me widget in ArcGIS Web AppBuilder.
Configure pop-ups for the layer at the web map level and ensure the selected search layer configured in the Near Me widget settings has pop-ups configured
Configure the Near Me widget settings to enable the Set location button
In ArcGIS Web AppBuilder, check the Set location button check box to provide a button to set the location on the map instead of only setting the location when the map is clicked. This enables users to click a feature on the map to view its feature attribute pop-up when the Near Me widget is active.
Note: By default, the Set location button check box in the Near Me widget settings is unchecked. A Set location dialog box displays next to the cursor when the Near Me widget is active, and clicking the map only displays the Searched Location pop-up window.
The image below shows the Set location button displays next to the search box in the Near Me widget. When the Set location button is enabled, clicking the map to set a location displays the Searched Location pop-up window.
The image below shows when the Set location button is not enabled in the Near Me widget, clicking a feature on the map displays the feature attribute pop-up.
