The Portal Administrator Directory continuously prompts for login credentials

Description

When attempting to navigate around the Portal Administrator Directory, login credentials are prompted continuously, as shown in the following animation.

Cause

The Portal Administrator Directory is accessed using Internet Explorer. Portal for ArcGIS versions 10.9 and later do not support Internet Explorer.

Solution or Workaround

Access the Portal Administrator Directory using a supported web browser. Refer to ArcGIS Enterprise: Supported web browsers for more information.

Note:
The issue may be observed when accessing the Portal Administrator Directory in Microsoft Edge with the Internet Explorer mode enabled. In this case, disable the Internet Explorer mode in Microsoft Edge. Refer to Microsoft Edge: Configure IE mode policies for more information.
