The Collapse Dual Lines To Centerline tool is not available in ArcGIS Pro

Description

The Collapse Dual Lines To Centerline tool allows users to convert dual-line features into centerlines in both ArcMap and ArcGIS Pro. However, in ArcGIS Pro, the Collapse Dual Lines To Centerline tool is unavailable, as shown in the image below.

In some instances, the tool displays in the Geoprocessing pane, but the following error message is returned after selecting the tool:

Tool is not licensed
An error message is returned in the Collapse Dual Lines To Centerline tool pane.

Cause

  • The current ArcGIS Pro version is 3.2 or earlier. The Collapse Dual Lines To Centerline tool is not implemented and is unavailable in these versions.
  • For ArcGIS Pro 3.3 or later, the license used is a Basic license. An Advanced license is required to use the Collapse Dual Lines To Centerline tool. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Licensing information for information.

Solution or Workaround

Update to ArcGIS Pro 3.3 and above

Update to ArcGIS Pro 3.3 or higher. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Update ArcGIS Pro for instructions. Ensure the machine system meets the minimum system requirements to run ArcGIS Pro 3.3.

Assign the ArcGIS Pro Advanced license to the member

Administrators or organization members with privileges to manage licenses must assign the ArcGIS Pro Advanced license to the member. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Assign or unassign an ArcGIS Pro license or extension and ArcGIS Pro: ArcGIS Pro license levels for more information.
