The Aggregation or Clustering option is not available for point feature layers in Map Viewer

Description

In Map Viewer, the Aggregation or Clustering option for certain point hosted feature layers is not available on the Settings (light) toolbar.

Cause

The Aggregation or Clustering option is unavailable for multipoint feature layers, as clustering is not supported for multipoint feature layers. There are some considerations when aggregating or clustering data in Map Viewer. Refer to ArcGIS Online: Considerations for more information.

Solution or Workaround

To resolve this issue, convert the multipoint features to single point features in ArcGIS Pro.

1. Open the web map in ArcGIS Pro. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Open the project for instructions.
2. Convert the multipoint features to single point features using the Multipart To Singlepart tool. Refer to How To: Convert multipoint features into single point features in ArcGIS Pro for instructions.
3. Share the project as a web map to ArcGIS Online. Refer to ArcGIS Pro: Share a web map for instructions.

In Map Viewer, the Aggregation and Clustering options are available from the Settings (light) toolbar.
