Failed to run the Map To KML tool in ArcGIS Pro

Description

In ArcGIS Pro, running the Map To KML tool fails even though all the parameters of the tool are configured, and the error message below is returned.

Error:
Fix the missing or invalid parameters: 1

Cause

The input map is added through the Input Map window using the Browse button, as shown in the following image.

This adds the item using the URL in the Map To KML tool. The Input Map parameter in the Map To KML tool does not recognize URL as an input thereby prompting the error.

Solution or Workaround

To successfully run the tool, add the web map to the project as a map. In ArcGIS Pro, add the web map to the project, and in the Map To KML pane, select the map from the Input Map drop-down list.
