Restrict the editing of multiple features in ArcGIS Field Maps

Summary

In ArcGIS Field Maps, multiple features can be edited simultaneously. However, restricting the editing of multiple features in Field Maps is necessary for data accuracy and to reduce the likelihood of inadvertent errors, such as overlapping or conflicting changes.

This article provides the workflow to restrict editing multiple features using ArcGIS Field Maps Designer.

Procedure

Note:
This workflow is performed in the ArcGIS Field Maps Designer web app, as the option to disable Edit Multiple is not available in the ArcGIS Field Maps mobile app.
  1. In the ArcGIS Field Maps Designer web app, open the project.
  2. Click App settings.
  3. On the App settings page, click the Map section.
  4. Under Map, toggle Edit multiple off to disable the capability.
