Summary
The purpose of Concurrent Use ESLF (Esri Secure License File) for ArcGIS Pro extensions is to provide organizations with a flexible licensing model for managing access to ArcGIS Pro extensions. With this licensing approach, organizations can centrally manage and distribute licenses for ArcGIS Pro extensions from a license server.
This article provides the workflow the authorize Concurrent Use ESLF for ArcGIS Pro extensions.
Procedure
Note:
The MAC address of the machine is required for the following workflow. Refer to License Manager Guide: Creating a license file in My Esri for Enterprise portal 10.7 and later to obtain the MAC Address for the machine.
- Log in to My Esri.
- On the top of the page, click Licensing and select Start Licensing.
- On the License Esri Products page, specify the following selections:
- Select ArcGIS Pro.
- For Product, select ArcGIS Pro from the drop-down list.
- For License Type, select Concurrent Use from the drop-down list.
- For Licenses, select Extensions only from the drop-down list.
- For File Type, select ESLF (Esri Secure License File) from the drop-down list.
- Click Next.
- Navigate to the desired license extension, specify the quantity of licenses required, and click Next. In this example, one license of ArcGIS Image Analyst for Pro is selected.
- In the ESLF Authentication section, select MAC Address and input the machine's MAC address. Click Next.
- On the Review page, select Download under the How would you like your license file delivered? question.
- Review the license file, add any notes and tags to the license file, specify the deployment type, and click Create File.
- In the Save As window, rename the ESLF if necessary, and click Save.
- Launch ArcGIS License Server Administrator and click Authorization.
- From the drop-down menu, select Pro 1.4-3.2 and click Authorize now.
- Complete the authorization process. Refer to Steps 2 to 7 of ArcGIS Pro: Complete authorization with an authorization file for instructions.
- Click Availability and verify that the license is correctly listed.
- Launch ArcGIS Pro and click Settings.
- Click Licensing and click Configure your licensing options.
- In the Licensing window, locate the license authorized in Step 12, ensure the check box under the Licensed column is checked, and click OK.
- Restart ArcGIS Pro to implement the license change.
