Frequently asked question

Is it possible to wrap text on buttons in ArcGIS QuickCapture?

Last Published: August 23, 2024

Answer

No, it is not possible to wrap text on a button in ArcGIS QuickCapture. ArcGIS QuickCapture is designed for rapid field data collection, where users interact with buttons to capture data. The buttons can be customized to make data capture easy and user-friendly. However, since the text cannot be wrapped, longer texts may be truncated or cut off midline, which can hinder readability, as shown in the image below.

The full text is displayed in the Button pane under the Label section.

Alternatively, text on the button can be fully displayed without truncation by configuring the buttons so that each is placed in its own column within a group. When a button is arranged in a single column, longer text can be displayed completely without being cut off. To do so, follow the steps below:

  1. Log in to ArcGIS QuickCapture Web Designer and, on the MY PROJECTS tab, click the project.
  2. In the project preview, click the group to display the Group pane.
  3. In the Group pane, for Number of columns, specify 1.
  4. Click Save to save the configurations of the project.
The Group pane is to be configured.
